What I’ve been up to..

Wednesday, March 28th, 2007

I have done a bit of stitching over the last few weeks, but as I’ve been tired I have been sticking to nice simple over twos. This also means I’ve been playing with silks. My favourite of course has to be Cirques, and I will keep working on this one now until I finish the skein and have to order more.

I have also worked on a couple of assisi freebie bookmarks. Of course I started winter, but I have to order some more Ice Dragon. I have now done autumn too and just have to put all the metallic in now. Although that could take a couple of evenings.

The colours in the Cirques pic are pretty close, but the autumn bookmark pic is not so good.

Introducing Mr Macros

Saturday, March 17th, 2007

Ok, so many of you know about my little boy. So I thought I would share a photo for those of you who have not met him in person. I took this photo about 30 mins ago. Macros loves sleeping on my bed and this particular pose is one of his favourites. Of course he has given me a scare a few times, especially the first time, as his breathing gets very slow and shallow and sometime his tongue hangs out too. There has been more than once that I have stood still and watched closely until I see his chest rise :)

He’s a good excuse not to make the bed :)

Photo Hunt – Wk 11

This weeks is late again. The theme was technology.  There were stacks of things I could have chosen, but decided to go for the simple approach. For those not in the know, this is the lid of my apple laptop :)

Photo Hunt – Week 10

Friday, March 9th, 2007

This week’s theme was books. As soon as I saw that I thought I’d go to the work library and take a photo up from the floor – without lying on the floor of course. It didn’t quite turn out as I had hoped, but in all not too bad I don’t think.

“unbroken” was born

Thursday, March 8th, 2007

What a week!  You know those weeks that you want to do again and be able to tell yourself not to do something?  Well that has been this week.

On Monday, despite my very sexy migraine, I got something working that I had been trying to get going for about a week.  Then on Wed I got the next step working.  Only, Wed afternoon I discovered that this had stopped the first step working.  At this point, after much attempts to back track and some screaming I went home :)   Then this morning I found it was impossible to backtrack and I had useless code.  Now why didn’t I save it before I broke it!  Thankfully I got an idea this afternoon and I have both steps all working and the next step done too.  Now I have a directory called unbroken.  I have copied all working versions there so I have it if I break it again :D

So hence, unbroken was born.  Thank god tomorrow is Friday!
