Quilting Fun
Tuesday, April 14th, 2009I mentioned in my last post that I’d been busy quilting. Well below is the first one completed. I’m raffling this off to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. I’m even selling tickets online, so if you know anyone who’d love this quilt, send them over to my fundraising page to buy a ticket, at only £1 each 
Isn’t it cute! I must admit that after finishing this off that last thing I want to do is give it away. So I’m trying to sell between 200 and 500 tickets so that it doesn’t hurt as much. Vicky will recognise some of this fabric, she bought some of it for me a few years ago to make into a cot blanket for my nephew. Since that didn’t happen I decided to go scrounging for more fabric to make it into a larger quilt to raffle off. Unfortunately this fabric is discontinued so I was ordering it in from several corners of the globe. I’m really proud of my first effort at completely making a quilt from scratch.
