Merry xmas to me
a.k.a. It’s all Cathi’s fault
Every year I like to buy myself a xmas present (I buy myself a b’day present too, why not?!). This year I wasn’t sure what I’d buy, or even if I’d bother since I have been spending a bit furnishing my house.
Then, enter a conversation with Cathi about Inklingo, and how I’ve been thinking about giving it a try ever since I designed a quilt back in summer that it would be handy for (yep, Helen, the one you’re thinking about).
Long story short, with Cathi egging me on, I decided I needed to move that quilt up the list, and buy a printer so I could use Inklingo. Normally I’m a canon girl, ’cause they’re such good printers, but that strength of theirs with their surperior ink is just too good for Inklingo as the ink doesn’t wash out. A bit of surfing and finding John Lewis was selling A3 printer/scanners at bargain prices (£100 off people!), and….
…merry xmas to me
I’ll be able to do everything I need with this. Well worth the extra space it’ll take up over an A4.
And perfect timing, because I just happened to win the Inklingo giveaway Cathi had. I never win things so obviously the universe really wants me to start that quilt. Who am I to argue?
Only somehow I went from just two quilts in progress to:
1 quilt to quilt
1 applique quilt in progress
1 sampler quilt in progress
1 sampler quilt planned to start in Feb (might have to postpone this start now)
2 quilts with lots of pieces planned to start asafa (as soon as fabric arrives)

I have no idea what inklingo is, but I fear the bank manager might complain if I find out
A new PC is on my sales shopping list with my bonus, though that’ll be happy new year to me!

Now, now, now!! I refuse to take all the blame!
I can’t wait to hear all about your new printer and how it’s working.

I also don’t know what inklingo is, but I have a feeling that after I find out it will be very expensive for me.

Yeah!!! Just think how many pieces you’re going to be able to print on an A3 piece of fabric! Happy printing!
