A frosty day
A comfortably sub-zero night, meant waking to a wonderland of hoar frost. This beautiful sight greeted me from my kitchen window.
So I took my camera along on my lunchtime walk again. This time we headed out the back drive to the village of Hinxton.
And around to the lane by the stream
Past the old mill house
The path continued along the stream
Until we could look across the stream back towards the village
While the brilliant sun had melted the frost in places, in others it was still nice and thick, untouched by the sun
And the sun just added to the sparkle
We saw this beautiful frost growth on some strands of horse hair that had been caught on the fence
While elsewhere, the whole fence was used as a frost frame
Everywhere we looked we were lavished with the beauty of perfectly formed ice crystals
But among all this beauty, there was a little hilarity.
Look close, can you read the “dedication”?

ROFL, love the dedication! I do love the look of hoar frost, but having fallen on my arse on it last winter, I’m somewhat more wary of it now
